📜 Open Letter to PM Keir Starmer: Urgent Action Needed for Hong Kong’s 45 Pro-Democracy Figures

Today, we, 22 UK-Hong Kong civil society organisations, express our deep frustration at the lack of action from the UK government regarding the unjust and heavy sentences of Hong Kong’s 45 pro-democracy activists.

Prime Minister Starmer, as a human rights advocate, must lead by example:

1.) Demand the release of political prisoners.
2.) Impose visa restrictions on Hong Kong officials responsible for implementing the National Security Law.
3.) Apply targeted sanctions to human rights violators.
4.) The UK has a legal and moral obligation to stand firm against oppression and defend human rights and democracy.

英國政府未強力譴責香港國安法庭不公重判45名民主人士，亦沒有足夠作為，我們22個在英港人組織對此深表失望。

施紀賢首相，作為人權倡導者，必須以身作則：

1.) 要求釋放所有政治犯。
2.) 對執行《國安法》的香港官員實施簽證限制。
3.) 對人權侵犯者實施針對性制裁。
4.) 英國有法律與道義責任堅守《中英聯合聲明》，抵抗壓迫，捍衛人權與民主。
