School closings and delays for Massachusetts for Tuesday, Jan. 11

As the coldest weather yet this season moves into the region, some schools across Massachusetts are announcing delays or closures for Tuesday, Jan. 11.

Bitter, cold arctic air is expected to move into the region overnight with the coldest temperatures predicted for around 10 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures could dip to 0 or lower in some areas and the wind chill will be in the negative numbers.

The following schools have announced delays or closures for Tuesday, Jan. 11.

• Boston Public Schools -- Closed Tuesday

• Central Berkshire Reg School District -- Closed Tuesday

• Chicopee Public Schools -- Closed Tuesday

• Farmington River Regional School District -- Two-hour delay Tuesday

• Lee Public Schools -- Closed Tuesday

• Springfield Public Schools -- Closed Tuesday
