رژیم جهانی جنگ، تفکر اردوگاهی و انترناسیونالیسم نوین؛ در گفت‌وگو با ساندرو مزادرا
#ساندرو_مزدرا در این گفت‌وگو از رژیم جهانی جنگ، نظام چندقطبی و انترناسیونالیسم سخن می‌گوید — مفاهیمی که او و بِرِت نیلسُن در مقالات متعدد و همینطور کتاب اخیرشان «مابقی و غرب: سرمایه و قدرت در جهان چندقطبی» (ورسو، ۲۰۲۴) پرورش داده‌اند.
مزدرا رژیم جهانی جنگ را به عنوان نظامی‌شدن فزاینده حیات اجتماعی در سرمایه‌داری معاصر می‌فهمد، وضعیتی که در آن حتی جوامعی که دور از نزاع نظامی به سر می‌برند از طریق منطق جنگی اداره می‌شوند. از نظر او، حمله امپریالیستی روسیه به اوکراین و نسل‌کشی در #غزه متعلق به یک کل واحد اند و اجزای مرتبط یک سیستم جهانی سرمایه‌داری جنگی هستند.
در پیوند با رژیم جنگ جهانی، مزادرا همچنین از ساختار «چندقطبی» سرمایه‌داری معاصر سخن می‌گوید، به عنوان ساختار ژئوپولتیک-اقتصادیِ کنونی جهان مبتنی بر بلوک‌های قدرتی که از سرمایه، دولت و بازیگران غیردولتی تشکیل شده و برای کنترل چرخه‌های جهانی انباشت در رقابت با یکدیگر اند. مزدرا مفهوم هنجاری چندقطبی بودن را زیر سؤال برده و آن را خاستگاه اجتماعی تفکر اردوگاهی درنظر می‌گیرد، موضعی که در تقابل با امپریالیسم غربی از رژیم‌های استبدادی نظیر جمهوری اسلامی ایران حمایت می‌کند. برای مزدرا، تنها انترناسیونالیسمی که ریشه در سیاست #رهایی‌بخش دارد قابلیت در هم گسستن ماشین جنگی کنونی را دارد.

In this comradely conversation, #Sandro_Mezzadra discusses the global war regime, multipolarity, and internationalism—a conceptual constellation he and Brett Neilson explore in depth in their recently published book, The Rest and the West: Capital and Power in a Multipolar World (Verso, 2024).
Mezzadra understands the global war regime as the escalating militarization of social life, where even societies not directly engaged in military conflicts are governed through the logic and mechanisms of war. From the perspective of the current conjuncture of war, Russia’s imperialist invasion of Ukraine and the genocidal war on #Gaza, now extending into #Lebanon, are interconnected elements of the same capitalist world system.
At the heart of the global war regime lies the multipolarity of contemporary capitalism, critically understood as the configuration of power blocs—comprising capital, state, and non-state actors—competing for control over global circuits of accumulation. Mezzadra deconstructs the normative conception of multipolarity, linking it to the social genesis of “campism”, where support for authoritarian regimes (such as the Islamic Republic of Iran) emerges as a reaction against Western imperialism. For Mezzadra, only an #internationalism rooted in the politics of #liberation holds the potential to dismantle the current war machine.
This interview was conducted by the Materialist Research Group—a critical research collective focused on Iran, Afghanistan, and the MENA region—in Paris, June 2024.
