2024 ELECTION — Former State Department official Mike Benz, during an interview with Patrick Bet-David on the PBD podcast, discussed contentious political maneuvering surrounding the upcoming U.S. presidential election. Benz claimed that Rep. Jamie Raskin suggested that even if Donald Trump wins the election, his victory might not be certified, blocking his inauguration. Benz pointed to alleged efforts to invoke Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to disqualify Trump, citing the January 6 Capitol events as justification.
Benz also claimed that in 2020, a coordinated effort involving military intelligence and political operatives across both parties aimed to secure Joe Biden’s inauguration, even if Trump won. According to Benz, these networks may attempt similar strategies in 2025 if Trump secures an Electoral College win. He further described ongoing pressure on Supreme Court justices, including ethics probes targeting Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh, as potential leverage to deter judicial intervention in these efforts.
Benz emphasized that while a legal strategy appears to be forming against Trump, internal discord between Biden and Kamala Harris camps may complicate the opposition’s plans. He also suggested that external street-level actions, such as protests, would likely remain dormant until Trump’s potential victory.
