A pivotal moment to raise immigration standards and protect America’s future
The wildfires in LA are a result of far-left policies, and even Hollywood has been affected by the flames. But what lies behind California's far-left policies? The answer is mass immigration in a short period. CA, the state with the most people leaving for five consecutive years, turned blue within two decades due to illegal immigration. Legal immigration hubs like Silicon Valley have also become far-left strongholds.
The 1990 immigration reform under George HW Bush was a bold experiment, much like Reagan’s 1986 amnesty for illegal immigrants. At the time, the U.S. was a conservative-dominated nation. Decades later, these policies have contributed to political realignment, with GOP presidents paving the way for Democrats.
Reforming the immigration system is essential. This includes stricter background checks, controlling immigration scale, and addressing both illegal and legal immigration. Without effective screening, issues like spies, visa fraud, and extremists entering the country will continue to undermine freedom and stability.
Failing to safeguard its own freedoms is the greatest betrayal of America’s values. Proper screening and controlling the pace of immigration are necessary to maintain political balance and national security. The left often simplifies “anti-immigration” as reducing numbers, but this is propaganda. Immigrants who come to the U.S. and don’t experience true freedom are the real victims. A lack of screening risks bringing in spies, visa fraudsters, and religious extremists, rather than individuals who value and defend Western liberties.
Even the U.S. asylum system is rife with fraud. Not everyone who wants to come to America truly cherishes it. Many are driven by economic interests and may never fully integrate as Americans. To address this reality, the U.S. must reduce immigration from high-risk groups until effective vetting processes are in place.
Excluding spies, fraudsters, and extremists will not harm America’s ability to attract talent. In fact, it will enable capable immigrants to thrive. Without this, communities—such as Chinese-Americans—risk deterioration as pro-American immigrants are replaced by anti-American influences.
Continuing mass immigration without strict background checks threatens to disrupt the political balance and rewrite the nation’s history and foundation. It’s time to reverse course.
