Don't Eat Me!⛔️
🔴 Oneway for Don't eat me signal is an interaction between CD47 and SIRPalpha.
SIRP family has three different subtypes include Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.
🟠 In cancer cells interaction between SIRPalpha and CD inhibits macrophages to select cancer cells and macrophage phagocytosis and also this mechanism help cancer cells to evade the immunity.
🟡 Many studies shown that overexpression and higher levels of CD47 in tumor cells surface than non-malignant cells.
🟢 By exploiting the "Don't eat me" signal, cancer cells utilize CD47's overexpression to evade immune cell surveillance and clearance, making CD47 a potential target for novel anti-tumor therapies.
