📣Video released by the Diocese of Cherkasy showing the placing of the Electronic Bracelet.

What a shameful display by the authorities in Cherkasy, treating the spiritual leader of the community as a criminal because he will not bend the knee to schism.

As pointed out in the last post, the cases brought against Vladyka are weak and stretched to the thinnest line. Unfortunately, we can only expect more of this type of persecution to happen as the demonic power that oppose the church become more and more desperate.

We must continue to pray for the Canonical UOC, faithful and clergy in Ukraine.

Today Christ our God was brought on a cross. Today he foretold to his disciples of his death, burial, and resurrection. Today Christ was tortured, put on trail, and sentenced to death by Crucifixion by those Pharisees and the Jews who cursed not only themselves, but their offspring. Today Judas betrayed Christ for 30 pieces of gold and silver. Peter as foretold by Christ, denied him three times in front of man. Let us not be like Pilot, who washed his hands of all guilt and let us not give Christ the kiss of Judas nor be a Judas. Although many times we are found to be like him when we fall into sin. Have a blessed rest of Holy week and hopefully you all go to church tomorrow through Sunday.

Athos abbots refuse to serve with monks from monasteries that recognize Ukrainian schismatics
https://orthochristian.com/153134.html

The monks aren’t heretics, but Abbot Nikodemos considers that they have concelebrated with schismatics and so are not welcome to serve at Philotheou, he told them.
Today the Lamentations were sung as the Lord our God is in the Tomb. Having been crucified by those whom he wished to save, he set us free from the bandage of sin and has bridged the gap between God and man. His Mother while he was on the cross, wept for Her Son with the Mothers grief. May we have this same feeling for because of Christ, salvation is achievable. The Myrrh-bearing women brought special spices and ointments to Christs Tomb. Christ our God, through the prayers of the Theotokos, the saints, and the Holy Father's have mercy on our pour wretched souls and save us. Amen.
Blessed Holy Friday and Great Saturday to all.

🔥 ☦️The Holy Fire descended in the Holy City of Jerusalem. We are once again blessed with the Miracle of Great Saturday, which calls us to the celebration of our Lord's victory. It serves as a reminder that God is with us and we must seek repentance while we can in these uncertain times.

God bless you all!
Christ is Risen!
CHRIST HAS RISEN! XRISTOS ANESTI! CHRISTOS VOSKRESE! Christ triumphantly trampled upon the gates of hell today and lifted up the prophets and saints if old from their graves and preached the Gospel in the gates of Hades. It is through his Resurrection that are faith is given meaning, we have been united with God and no longer must go to hades as a resting place. He rose Adam and Eve from their graves and in the process he made the New Adam on earth forever changing the lives of us the faithful. Israel his chosen people is no longer an ethnicity or a country, but a whole people who come together in the worship of Christ. May God be with you all and may the Holy Spirit continue to guide us all to Christ and his teaching. May the Light recieved by you all today be a reminder that God is with you. O death where is your victory? O hades where is your sting? For CHRIST HAS RISEN!

Rumbles from the shelling could be felt inside the Orthodox Church
Spiritual vigilance, kept with special strictness during Great Lent, was to be maintained during and after Pascha as well. Without the guarding of oneself, there was a tendency to fall into a state of sourness after tasting too much sweetness. One young convert, radiant after experiencing his first Pascha in the wilderness, was asked by Fr. Seraphim: “Well, how did you like the Feast?”
“It was wonderful!” replied the elated pilgrim.
“Don’t waste what you’ve been given,” Fr. Seraphim said, echoing the words of Bishop Nektary. “Don’t spill the grace. Keep it there!” As he said this, Fr. Seraphim tapped the young man’s chest, right on his heart.

-Father Seraphim Rose: His Life and Works, Ch. 69 “An Orthodox Corner of America”
“There will come a time when not the persecutions but money and the goods of this world will take people far from God. Then many more souls will be lost than in the time of the persecutions. On the one hand, they will be putting gold on the domes and will put the crosses on them and, on the other hand, everywhere evil and falsehood will reign. The true Church will always be persecuted. They who want to be saved will be saved with illnesses and afflictions. The way in which the persecutions will occur will be very sly and it will be very difficult for one to foresee the persecutions. Dreadful will be that time; I pity those who will be living then.”

Bright Wednesday, April 19 / May 2, 1973

Dear Brother in Christ, Alexey,

CHRIST IS RISEN! We trust that you and your family spent a spiritually profitable Pascha. We had a peaceful and quiet day here, after going to the “world” earlier in the week to receive Holy Communion and being there impressed by the deep spiritual bond which unites us supposed “desert- dwellers” with the simple Russian faithful, the sincere and striving converts, and with all the true Orthodox people today.

Christ has risen!
I wish that all of you had a magnificent and beneficial bright week. A week long feast. I know for myself it was filled with joy but also struggle having to adapt from fasting to feasting. But God's grace helped me and im sure many of you through it. Truly the most awesome time of year seeing and being reminded of just what was sacrificed for us. As a priest put it, "Lord i loved you before, but now I love you eternally". For Christ was persecuted, killed, and then resurrected so that we may be elevated and go to heaven.
The powerful words of Christ Has Risen is chanted throughout this week and will continue to be uttered in the church until Pentecost. Christ trampled upon the gates of hades freeing us from bandage since the time of Adam. Truly this is the whole reason for our celebration. May we continue to utter these heart inspiring words in good health and in God's good graces. Have a blessed week.
