Leaving Addis Ababa
Our volunteer doctors from Veliky Novgorod returned home to Russia. For 2 weeks, they literally rescued and put Ethiopian children on their feet.
"At the Yekatit-12 hospital, we received children with diseases of the central nervous system, paresis and paralysis, cerebral palsy, the consequences of meningitis and encephalitis and congenital developmental disorders. Children require attention, care and constant supervision. We conducted master classes for both hospital staff and parents. We taught them support methods, demonstrated how to do massage, conduct physical therapy and gymnastics classes. Parents willingly joined in the process, filmed everything to engage with children at home."
We appreciating Anna, Olga and Sergey for the Kindness they gave to Ethiopian children while fulfilling their Mission!
The project is being implemented by The Pushkin Centre in Addis Ababa (Rossotrudnichestvo) and the Government of the Novgorod region with the support of the governor Andrey Nikitin.
