Centrifugal Compressor
A centrifugal compressor is a type of dynamic compressor that uses rotating impellers to compress air or gas. It is commonly used in various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and refrigeration.
The main components of a centrifugal compressor include an inlet, impeller(s), diffuser, and discharge. The process begins with the intake of air or gas through the inlet. This kinetic energy is then converted into pressure energy as the fluid passes through the impeller blades.
