Telegram has announced a number of measures aiming to tackle the spread of disinformation through its platform in Brazil. These features are part of an agreement between the platform and the country's authorities ahead of the elections in October. During the meeting with TSE Minister Edson Fachin, Perekopsky also mentioned the TSE channel on the platform as one of the firm's key success stories. Launched as part of the company's commitments to tackle the spread of fake news in Brazil, the verified channel has attracted more than 184,000 members in less than a month. Telegram channels enable users to broadcast messages to multiple users simultaneously. Like on social media, users need to subscribe to your channel to get access to your content published by one or more administrators. To upload a logo, click the Menu icon and select โManage Channel.โ In a new window, hit the Camera icon. In the next window, choose the type of your channel. If you want your channel to be public, you need to develop a link for it. In the screenshot below, itโs โ/catmarketing.โ If your selected link is unavailable, youโll need to suggest another option.
