انسانهای خلاق و هنرمندان تراز، بخش اندکی از جامعه هستند. بنابراین به نظر میرسد جا دارد تعدیلهایی در پژوهشهای ساز و کارهای شناختی ذهن آنها اعمال کرد. همانطور که سندروم‌های اختلالات شناختی و نقائص کلامی مرتبط را بررسی میکنیم، جا دارد به ذهنهایی زیبا چون حافظ، داوینچی، بتهوون، نولان و ... بپردازیم. در این میان به سبب ماهیت انتزاعی زبان و هنرهای کلامی، به ویژه نوع اعلای آن، شعر، و نیز پیوند عمیق زبان و تفکر، مطالعه آثار شاعران و نویسندگان از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است.
