Hail Apollon, divine healer, guide my hands.
Grant me skill to mend, wisdom to ease suffering,
And strength to care for those who cannot speak their pain.

Hail Artemis, protector of beasts, stand beside me.
Watch over the wild and the weak,
Lend me patience and compassion in their care.

With devotion, I honor you both,
Now and always.
Hail Apollon Paian! Hail Artemis Agrotera!

Delphic Maxim 33:

Guard what is yours
(Ιδια φυλαττε)

This is a warning, that we should not be blind to risk and danger, even when we are people of goodwill and trust. The idea of “what is yours” has a more extensive meaning than merely your material property. You have your interests, you intellectual property, your dignity. All these things shape and make you, and it is prudent and just to look after your interests. Being good does not mean you have to give away all that is yours and thus ruin yourself through unlimited generosity and kindness. It is too often the misunderstood zeal of being good, whereby people ruin themselves; they give all away, open their doors to strangers and find themselves robbed for the foolish trust. The wise man looks after his interests and his belongings.

As said by Homer, Apollo is the physician to the Olympian gods, whose wounds or diseases he cured by means of the root of the peony.

This inspired the name “Paean” a common epithet for Apollo and the epithet “sons of Paean” that has been applied to physicians.

Every transformation demands as its precondition "the ending of a world"-the collapse of an old philosophy of life.

Shining Apollo, bright-haired son of Zeus
and tender-hearted Leto who bore you on the shores
of free-floating Delos, brother of Artemis
of the silver shafts, lover of truth who knows
what will be, who grants the gift of foreknowledge
to those who seek, patron of the wise Pythia
who sits at the center of the world. Apollo,
friend of the lovely Muses, player of sweet songs
upon the lyre, healer of plagues, defender
against all evil, ever-youthful one whose hands
are deft, whose arm is strong, whose bow-string taut and thick
looses a rain of arrows, enough to dim the sun.
Fairest of gods, long of lock and smooth of cheek,
laurel-crowned one, I thank you for your blessings.

“First tell yourself what kind of person you want to be, then do what you have to do. For in nearly every pursuit we see this to be the case. Those in athletic pursuit first choose the sport they want, and then do that work.”

O radiant Apollon, Sympadreos,
Who sits beside Zeus in majesty,
Brilliant light of wisdom,
Unerring archer of truth,

You who bring harmony to the cosmos,
Who guides the soul toward clarity,
Whose golden lyre resounds through time,
Dispelling shadows with divine song,

Blessed is your throne beside the Father,
Ever watchful, ever just,
Bearing the light that kindles all knowledge,
And the fire that purifies all darkness.

Apollon, physician of spirit and flesh,
May your presence illuminate our paths,
May your voice whisper truth in our hearts,
And may your arrows strike down all falsehood.

Glory to you, O far-shooting one,
Guardian of order, bearer of light,
Joint-throne-holder, eternal guide,
Hail to you, Sympadreos!

I want to be open with you all—transparent, because I believe transparency is vital.

Over the past year, I have felt distant from my spiritual practice, as if something unseen was holding me back. No matter how much I reached out, I couldn’t seem to move forward. It wasn’t doubt, nor a loss of faith, but a quiet, aching disconnect—like standing at the edge of something sacred and not knowing how to step forward. My devotion never left me, but I felt muted, as though my heart could not find its voice.

But something has changed since I began working in medicine. The more I immerse myself in the art of healing, the more I feel the Gods guiding me back. Every careful touch, every life I tend to, every moment spent easing pain and restoring health feels like a quiet hymn in Their honor. Through my work, I am not just witnessing healing—I am practicing it, living it. And in doing so, I have found my way back to Them.

I now see that I was never truly lost, only being led down a path I had not yet recognized. The weight I once felt is lifting, the resistance fading. I hear the call again, clear and insistent, reminding me that healing is sacred work and that, as a devotee of Apollon, I must embrace it fully.

With this renewal, I hope to be more present here, to post more consistently. The Apollonian is my personal online temple—a work of sacredness dedicated to a God I adore. Through it, I honor Him in word and devotion, and I want to continue doing so with greater purpose.

If you’ve felt this way, know that you are not alone. There are things at work greater than we can see. Trust in the Gods. Trust in yourself. Sometimes, the way forward is clearer when we listen deeply and let go of the resistance.

I don’t know exactly where this path will lead, but I walk it now with open eyes, steady hands, and a heart full of renewed faith.

O Radiant Apollon, Light of the World,
Guide me as I step forward once more.
Let your wisdom illuminate my mind,
Your music awaken my spirit,
And your presence bring clarity where there was doubt.
I stand before you, open-hearted and renewed in devotion.
