روي عن النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) قال: ومن صلّى في اللّيلة الرّابعة من شعبان أربعين ركعة، يقرأ في كلّ ركعة فاتحة الكتاب مرّة وخمسًا وعشرين مرّة "قل هُو الله أحد".

كتب الله له بكلّ ركعة ثواب ألف ألف سنة وبنى له بكلّ سورة ألف ألف مدينة وأعطاه الله ثواب ألف ألف شهيد.
