Even for a moment, so that we could believe that the future is safe, stable and gives us something to look forward to.
That even for a moment we could smile like those others who, on this day of happiness and every single day, are able to create the illusion of happiness for themselves.
Even for a moment. For one little moment. We could be as happy as those who can.
Because we are the ones who have lost the mask of our own smile long ago.
And it doesn't matter if happiness is just an illusion created by a mask or reality. It doesn't matter at all.
Perhaps it was based on pretense. Our happiness.
But at least we were able to, even occasionally, convince ourselves that our pretense was real.
It made, and makes for so many, our happiness real.
And that's what I hope. Find even small moments of happiness.
Even for a moment.
