ورد عن السلف أنهم كانوا يهنئون بعضهم بعضاً في دخول رمضان ولا حرج في هذا ، فيقول مثلاً : شهر مبارك ، أو بارك الله لك في شهرك ، أو ما أشبه ذلك ، ويرد عليه المهنأ بمثل ما هنأه به ، فيقول مثلاً : ولك بمثل هذا ، أو يقول : وهو مبارك عليه ، أو ما يحصل به تطييب خاطر المهنئ.
