عن النبي ﷺ واله أنه قال: «من قرأها ختم الله له بالصبر، وكان من أصحاب الحقّ»،وورد في فضيلة هذه السورة أيضاً عن الإمام الصادق☆عليه السلام☆ قال:
«من قرأ (والعصر) في نوافله بعثه الله يوم القيامة مشرقاً وجهه، ضاحكاً سنّه، قريرة عينه، حتى يدخل الجنة»، وروي عنه☆عليه السلام☆: «إذا قُرئت على ما يدفن حُفظ بإذن الله، ووكل به من يحرسه إلى أن يخرجه صاحبه».
