🎙 Introduction of Prof. Dr. Gonca Dardeniz Arikan for the Lecture:

Today, we are honored to introduce Professor Dr. Gonca Dardeniz Arikan from the Faculty of Archaeology at Istanbul University for her upcoming lecture.

Her research focuses on metallurgy, vitreous materials, and integrated artisanship in Bronze Age Anatolia. She employs complementary methods of archaeology and archaeological sciences to understand ancient technologies and the choices made by Bronze Age artisans. Additionally, she utilizes political economy and social complexity as theoretical frameworks in her research. Currently, she is directing the excavations at Konya-Karahöyük, a Bronze Age site located in central Anatolia.

Professor Arikan is proficient in several languages, including English, German, Italian, and Turkish.
