This morning at the St.Petersburg Veterinarian University. I was invited to speak at their conference on "Horses and World History and Culture"

One of the big geopolitical shifts of 20th century was the change in mobility.
In summer 1914 European armies started a war on horseback, it ended with tanks, planes and submarines.
The horse had lost its place in daily life and the new chapter of mobility had an impact on humankind.

But horses always played and still play a big role in my life. And it was very interesting to visit the clinic which is the first in Russia when it comes to education of horse veterinary specialists.

My sincere respect for your work and your warm hospitality for my dogs and me.
