Simpler place hierarchy
The place hierarchy has been simplified so that you don't have to navigate hierarchy levels with only one child anymore.. Towns / cities are now displayed with a town icon.
Scanner links for missions
On mobile, you can now open missions directly in the Ingress Scanner. No need to find the next mission in scanner in mission dense areas.
Minor changes and bug fixes
- Planned offline date is not shown for offline banners anymore.
- On agent page, the filter button is now shown when an agent has only offline banners.
- Horizontal scrolling bug on mobile has been fixed.
- After changing the browser language, language detection now only needs a page reload (F5)
- Fixed a bug with outdated translations.

A few weeks ago, agent @M1chaeI had the idea for an overlay that would assist you in quickly starting missions when playing a banner, and implemented it as a telegram bot (@BannerHelperBot).
We love the idea, so we are proud to present it now as an Android app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bannergress.overlay
How to use:
Just share the banner or mission link to the app using the "Share" function from wherever you want. On the first start, the app will ask you for overlay permission, this is required to run the app. You can drag and drop the app to any place on your screen.
To close the app go to notifications area and press "close" button.

We've just released a whole lot of exciting stuff for all of our fellow Bannergress users out there:
For mission creators
New creator plugin (compatible with IITC button and Tampermonkey), which hooks into the mission creator website and allows you to synchronize new missions and mission statuses to Bannergress with less friction.
For mission players
The Android Bannergress overlay app now shows you the remaining distance, based on your current position and the already visited mission portals. Compatibility issues with latest Android releases have been fixed.
For developers
Bannergress source code repositories are now public! All code is available under the MIT license.
For API users
You can now specify which banner attributes you want to retrieve for a banner query, using the attributes parameter.
For the still-curious
· Banner warnings are now shown more prominently.
· Unavailable portals are now ignored in distance calculation.
· Upload of missions where a POI image is not a valid URL has been fixed.
· Leading and trailing whitespace in mission search are now ignored.
· Banner pictures with missing missions and only offline missions have been improved.
