【Joint Letter From 63 Human Rights Groups Urges the 119th Congress to Renew the House Select Committee on the C.C.P.】

On Dec. 17, we joined 62 other human rights organizations in sending an open letter to U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, urging the 119th Congress to Renew the House Select Committee on the C.C.P. Led by the Campaign for Uyghurs, the letter highlights the committee’s crucial role in addressing the C.C.P.’s human rights abuses and national security threats posed to the United States. Last December, our executive director Anna Kwok testified at the Select Committee on the C.C.P. hearing on transnational repression.
