Join us for a lecture «Russia: the Country that Wants to be Different» by historian Gijs Kessler. He will provide an account of Russia's post-Soviet attempt to overcome the social, economic and political legacy of the past and become a 'normal country’ – a market economy, a democracy and a country open to the rest of the world - the dream that people cherished amidst the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.
