معاون ارتباطات دفتر رئیس‌جمهور ایران در مورد محتوای کلی این پیام نوشت: «جمهوری اسلامی ایران خواهان صلح و تنش زدایی در منطقه و جهان است، جنگ افروزی، تجاوز و نسل کشی رژیم صهیونیستی را محکوم می کند و آماده مذاکره شرافتمندانه و برابر است.»
