There ARE ways to center culture and community in ways that are sustaining and nourishing to families. Having experienced the BS that I did in working with Latinx families, I developed this training so that less people doing direct service contribute to the continued marginalization of familias. We deserve to be served within the context of our cultura and with our liberation in mind.
If you work with Latinx families, you MUST be there when we hold our 8-hour Professionals Intensive training on the 23rd and 24th of this month.
During the course of two 4-hour days, we’ll provide a foundation that examines the impact of colonial oppression and intergenerational trauma, and look into how these lived experiences may impact how individuals parent and view family dynamics.
