„Guitar Player“ (Gitarrenspieler), 1928

Ernst Kretschmann (1897–1942) was a German illustrator, graphic designer and SA-Truppführer (National Socialist Storm Trooper).

As an employee of the magazines ‘Die SA’ and ‘Der SA-Führer’, Kretschamnn made many propaganda illustrations for the National Socialists. 

In the Great German Art Exhibitions Kretschmann was represented with four works. These works and many of his other propaganda works were printed on postcards and distributed on a large scale.

He fell in 1942 at the eastern front.
