🔸Dr. Mahya Mehrmohamadi

🔹Dr. Mahya Mehrmohamadi is an assistant professor at the University of Tehran. Her research is focused on bioinformatic design of molecular diagnostics. After receiving her M.Sc. in medical biotechnology in University of Tehran's Biotechnology direct program, she started her PhD in genomics at Cornell University. Her work involved deciphering metabolic regulation of cancer cell epigenetics through computational approaches. She moved on to pursue her passion in cancer epigenomics during her postdoctoral training at Stanford University's cancer institute where she developed a novel liquid biopsy test based on cell-free DNA fragmentomics. In addition to academic research, Dr. Mehrmohamadi has years of valuable work experience in the Biotechnology industry including at renowned liquid biopsy companies in the US.
