ادامه اقدامات مودی در راستای تضعیف عناصر اسلامی در هند
پیشنهاد دولت هند برای اصلاح قانون وقف، که مدیریت املاک وقفی مسلمانان را تحت تأثیر قرار می‌دهد، با واکنش‌های گسترده‌ای مواجه شده است.
این املاک شامل مساجد، مدارس دینی، سرپناه‌ها و هزاران هکتار زمین است که طی قرن‌ها توسط مسلمانان هند وقف شده و ارزش آن‌ها به میلیون‌ها دلار می‌رسد.
دولت نارندرا مودی، نخست‌وزیر هند، معتقد است که این تغییرات برای مبارزه با فساد در مدیریت املاک وقفی و رسیدگی به مطالبات اصلاحی جامعه مسلمانان ضروری است. با این حال، احزاب مخالف و سازمان‌های اسلامی این اقدام را تلاشی برای تسلط بر دارایی‌های وقفی مسلمانان می‌دانند و با آن مخالفت کرده‌اند.
پیش‌نویس این قانون در ماه آگوست به پارلمان ارائه شد و به دلیل مخالفت‌های شدید، برای بررسی بیشتر به یک کمیته مشترک پارلمانی ارجاع داده شده است.
The Indian government's proposed amendments to the Waqf Act of 1995 have sparked significant debate. Introduced in the Lok Sabha on August 8, 2024, the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, aims to reform the management of waqf properties—assets donated for religious or charitable purposes under Islamic law.
Critics argue these changes could grant the government excessive control over waqf properties, potentially undermining their autonomy. The bill has been described as "illogical" and "anti-democratic."
The bill has been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for further deliberation, comprising members from both houses of Parliament.
The outcome will significantly impact the management of waqf properties across India, where Muslims constitute approximately 14% of the population.
The president of the All India Muslim Jamat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, has claimed that the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is being organised on 55 'bigha' of waqf land.
