کاروانسرای اسعد پاشا با مساحتی قریب ۲۵۰۰ متر مربع، در سال ۱۷۵۳ به دستور اسعد پاشا، والی عثمانی ها ساخته شد. این‌مکان، یکی از بزرگترین و قدیمی‌ترین کاروانسراهای خاورمیانه بشمار می‌رود و با توجه به اینکه در گذشته در مسیر جاده ابریشم قرار داشت استراحتگاه بسیاری از بازرگانان و‌کاروان‌های تجاری بوده است.امروزه بسیاری از رویداد‌های فرهنگی و هنری سوریه در این‌مکان برگزار می‌شود و سالانه گردشگران داخلی و خارجی بسیاری از آن دیدن می‌کنند.
