although (хотя), though (неформально), even though (усиленное): после этих союзов идет обычное предложение с подлежащим и сказуемым.
Although she didn't study enough, she passed exams.
He helped her, though he didn't know her well.
In spite of: тоже "несмотря на", однако после используем существительное или глагол с -ing (можно запомнить по предлогу of, после предлогов, как и в русском, только существительные или формы, выполняющие эту роль).
In spite of her height she is really strong.
In spite of the fact that she is short she is really strong.
