از مادرمان عایشه روایت است که پیامبر ﷺ تحروا لیلة القدر فی الوتر من العشر الأواخر من رمضان (متفق علیه)
«لیله القدر را در شبهای فرد دهه ی آخر رمضان جستجو کنید» (یعنی شبهای 21، 23، 25، 27، 29)
پیامبر ﷺ بر قیام این ده شب اخر رمضان تشویق و ترغیب می‌کرد : از ابوهریره روایت است که پیامبرﷺ فرمود من قام لیلة القدر إیمانا و احتسابا غفرله ما تقدم من ذنبه (متفق علیه)
«هرکس در شب قدر از روی ایمان (به امید ثواب خدا) و امید دریافت اجر و پاداش، قیام کند گناهان او بخشوده می‌شود».
