عن أبي عبد الله (ع): إن الله هو العدل, وإنما بعث الرسل ليدعوا الناس إلى الإيمان بالله ولا يدعوا أحدا إلى الكفر... الله عز وجل خلق الناس على الفطرة التي فطرهم الله عليها, لا يعرفون إيمانا بشريعة ولا كفرا بجحود, ثم ابتعث الله الرسل إليهم يدعونهم إلى الإيمان بالله, حجة لله عليهم, فمنهم من هداه الله ومنهم من لم يهده.
Imam Ja’far al-Sadeq (Pbuh) said, " Indeed, Allah is the Just, and He sent the messengers to invite people to believe in Allah; they do not invite anyone to disbelief. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, created people upon the innate disposition (fitrah) upon which He created them, neither recognizing faith through a divine law nor disbelief through rejection. Then Allah sent messengers to them, inviting them to believe in Allah, as a proof from Allah against them. Among them are those whom Allah guided, and among them are those who were not guided."
