Discontinuation of MIUI MiRum ( Miroom ) firmware development
Hello everyone, friends!
The MiRum Portal project has existed for more than two years, and during this time it has become not only a frequently visited site for fans of Xiaomi and MIUI, but also practically the second home for me. Over 2,000 different news, articles, instructions, files and more have been published here. It's no secret that the main resource for most users of the portal was the free MIUI MiRum firmware, which turned out to be one of the most popular custom MIUI not only in Russia but in other countries around the world. And all this thanks to your invaluable support!
But unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and from this week the development of MIUI MiRum firmware stops. Many may find that the reason for this decision is some quarrel, disagreement in the team, lack of resources or brains, but no. In fact, this is my personal decision as a developer of these firmwares, which has been considered for a long time and was adopted with great difficulty. One of the main reasons is the constant deadline mode and the unpredictability of updates from Chinese developers: often I had to sit until the morning, including on weekends, to solve various difficulties with updates and release them on the promised date. Because of this, personal life was constantly in second place and it was not possible to build any plans. I also note that MIUI MiRum was far from the first project with firmware, where I participated as a developer, therefore, in total over the years 7 of such activity, this could be fed to anyone. In this regard, I decided to change my occupation.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone for the fact that we have always been and remain with MiRum, as well as for your unlimited support! More thanks to everyone who helped in the development of the firmware, with whom we have become a united team. And, of course, a special gratitude to the management of the MiRum chain of stores, which gave me the opportunity to develop and presented you with this whole project!
And finally, no less important news! Despite the lack of firmware, the MiRum portal will continue to develop under a different direction, to please you with news, useful articles, files. Be sure to share ideas about what you would like to see on the MiRum portal in the future.
