For crypto enthusiasts, there was the โgmโ app, a self-described โmeme appโ which only allowed users to greet each other with โgm,โ or โgood morning,โ a common acronym thrown around on Crypto Twitter and Discord. But the gm app was shut down back in September after a hacker reportedly gained access to user data. With Bitcoin down 30% in the past week, some crypto traders have taken to Telegram to โvoiceโ their feelings. Telegram channels enable users to broadcast messages to multiple users simultaneously. Like on social media, users need to subscribe to your channel to get access to your content published by one or more administrators. But a Telegram statement also said: "Any requests related to political censorship or limiting human rights such as the rights to free speech or assembly are not and will not be considered."
