از ام المؤمنین عایشه رضی الله عنها روایت است که گفت:
«هیچ خلق و خویی نزد رسول الله ﷺ مبغوض‌تر و بدتر از دروغ نبود؛ اگر فردی نزد ایشان دروغی می‌گفت، پیوسته در قلب ایشان کراهت و ناراحتی‌ای (نسبت به او بود) تا اینکه درمی‌یافت که آن فرد از آن دروغ توبه کرده است».
صحیح الترمذى: ۱۹۷۳ 📚
💢 دروغ از اخلاق ناپسند و از صفات منافقین است؛ به همین خاطر رسول الله ﷺ از آن به شدت بر حذر داشت و آن را به شدت ناپسند و بد می‌دانستند.
