По данным Центральной избирательной комиссии Абхазии, в стране открыли 152 избирательных участка в 35 округах, а два участка начали свою работу в Москве и Черкесске.
Повторное голосование будет считаться легитимным, если в нем примет участие не менее 25% избирателей, включенных в списки. На пост президента борются два кандидата, которые набрали наибольшее количество голосов в первом туре: вице-президент Бадра Гунба и экс-министр экономики, ныне лидер оппозиционного "Абхазского народного движения" Адгур Ардзинба.
