Glory to you, Leningrad, hardened
In the heat of battle, in the fire of barricades.
Banners pierced by bullets in battles
Nowhere, never bowed Leningrad.
- Konstantin Simonov
🕊️ 80 years since the end of the Siege of Leningrad.
Since the end of the longest battle of the Great Patriotic War.
🟢 From July 10, 1941 to August 9, 1944 Leningrad was completely surrounded by enemy troops, but its inhabitants, including polytechnics, did not surrender. They continued to work in factories and plants despite hunger and cold.
🟢 1127 days they performed feats, kept faith and hope. And it is impossible to defeat a nation with such courage, willpower and determination.
We are proud and remember! And we want you to remember the history of our Hero-City, be proud of those who did not give up in the hardest times and take an example from them.
Bright memory to the heroes! 🕊
