My GF loves cozy games, need suggestions
My GF loves to play non-confrontational cozy games with minimal stress. She’s just about exhausted her current faves with 500+ hours in Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, and I want to get her something new.
She enjoys base building, customization, and resource gathering. She can also handle some light RPG’s. Pretty much anything without really intense active combat. She will only play on Switch.
Her favorites so far are:
Stardew Valley
Animal Crossing
Undertale
Spiritfarer
Been trying to suggest some of my faves like Final Fantasy or Civ, but they don’t really vibe with her.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I had my old man gamer moment tonight.
I’m 34 and have been a console gamer since the PS1. I love solo gaming and try to play as much as life / work allows me with the exception of Rust where I play PvE servers. My son is 10 and also loves gaming. Like most kids he plays online multiplayer like Fortnite, Rocket League and more recently CoD.
He asked me to play CoD with him tonight so I obliged. After him laughing at me dying a whole lot in the online lobbies I asked if he wanted to try the campaign mode. He didn’t even know that was a thing and was shocked you could play the game offline and follow a story. At that point I realised kids don’t even play the campaign. They just go straight to multiplayer and buy all the latest skins and pay to win crap.
Anyone else have any boomer gaming moments?

What game has the most fun fishing mini game in it?
I find myself gravitating to the fishing mini game in almost every game I play. So it made me wonder, which one had the best mini game in it?

What game/sim prepares you SURPRISINGLY well for its real-world equivalent?
I can only think of Microsoft Flight Simulator 20/24, but that's not very surprising...

Doom: The Dark Ages' development details shine light on the state of modern triple-A production
Fine-tuned difficulty controls, slowed-down gameplay, and a jettisoned multiplayer mode tell us something about modern triple-A game design.
