La Fundación Venezolana de Investigaciones Sismológicas reportó un sismo ubicado al noroeste de Puerto La Cruz de magnitud 3.5.
El movimiento telúrico se registró en mar abierto a 45 kilómetros al noroeste de la ciudad anzoatiguense. Tuvo una profundidad de 30.4 km por lo que fue imperceptible en la superficie terrestre.
