در این روز علاوه بر بزرگداشتِ سالروز کتابخانهی با من بخوان ژینا جوایز «کرم کتاب» هم به کودکان کتابخانه اهدا شد. به کودکان و نوجوانانی که در یک بازه زمانی خاصی مرتب به کتابخانه مراجعه و شمار مشخصی کتاب امانت برده و خوانده بودند جوایزی از جنس کتاب اهدا شد.
