No place for Zionist influencer in Magdeburg!

On 11 November 2024, activists from the Palestine Solidarity Meeting Magdeburg protested against the reading by Zionist influencer Mirna Funk in Magdeburg's city library.

Mirna Funk regularly writes for the Springer press and other right-wing media. She posed in the uniform of the Israeli army for Welt online. In January 2024, she reported on how she celebrated with Israeli occupation soldiers who had previously committed war crimes in Gaza. She is a staunch Zionist and defends Israel unconditionally. At the same time, she speaks of the "victim myth of the Palestinians" and thus denies displacement, occupation and apartheid in Palestine. In October 2023, she called for the cessation of all humanitarian aid to Gaza:
"I would build a wall around Gaza as high as the Eiffel Tower. Shut it down completely...No more electricity, no more water, no more food, no more aid."
