امام علیه السلام به هنگام خروج از شهر، این آیه را تلاوت می کرد:
فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَائِفًا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ موسی ترسان و نگران از شهر خارج شد و گفت: پروردگارا! مرا از قوم ستمکار نجات بخش.
