📝حافظ ابن حجر رحمه الله می‌گوید: از چند جهت سحری خوردن باعث برکت است، که عبارتند از:
❶ پیروی از سنت ❷ مخالفت با اهل کتاب (یهود و نصاری) ❸ تقویت برای ادای عبادت ❹ افزوده شدن نشاط وچابکی ❺ دور کردن بداخلاقی که گرسنگی آن را پدید می‌آورد ❻ سحری خوردن باعث می‌شود تا انسان در وقتی که امید اجابت وقبولی طاعات می‌رود به ذکر و دعا بپردازد ❼ کسی که فراموش کرده که نیت روزه را بکند آن را انجام می‌دهد.
