It was an announcement stating that police had removed all posts on the channel because its content โcontravenes the laws of Hong Kong.โ Telegram is a leading cloud-based instant messages platform. It became popular in recent years for its privacy, speed, voice and video quality, and other unmatched features over its main competitor Whatsapp. Matt Hussey, editorial director of NEAR Protocol (and former editor-in-chief of Decrypt) responded to the news of the Telegram group with โ#meIRL.โ Members can post their voice notes of themselves screaming. Interestingly, the group doesnโt allow to post anything else which might lead to an instant ban. As of now, there are more than 330 members in the group. While some crypto traders move toward screaming as a coping mechanism, many mental health experts have argued that โscream therapyโ is pseudoscience. Scientific research or no, it obviously feels good.
