The common spotted eagle is a species of cartilaginous fish of the same name in the eagle ray family. Widely distributed in the tropical zone, including the Gulf of Mexico, Hawaiian Islands, along the coast of West Africa, in the Indian Ocean, Oceania, and along both coasts of America at depths up to 80 m.
