The platform contains 350 thousand of projects in total, but only 3500 projects have been designated as a critical project. The critical badges give to projects which a part of top 1% by downloads for the last 6 months. PyPI provides public statistics of packages using BigQuery. The critical projects have been chosen by using this data.

Of course, we can use their API to perform queries to get the statistics, but instead, we can get data from PyPi Stats, that use the same dataset. According to the statistics, the project was downloaded more than 95 thousand times in the last month ✨
