Baxodir Kurbanov 2018-yilning fevralida Toshkent harbiy okrugi qo‘shinlari qo‘mondoni lavozimiga tayinlangan. 2019-yil fevralidan shu kunga qadar O‘zbekiston mudofaa vaziri lavozimida faoliyat yuritib kelayotgan edi.
