🇧🇷 - The Brazilian federal government has decided to collect coins tossed into the reflecting pools of the presidential palaces in BrasĂlia as part of a measure to increase tax revenue. The action, published in the Official Gazette of the Union, includes the collection of coins from the reflecting pools of the Palácio da Alvorada and the Palácio do Planalto, with the funds being accounted for semiannually and transferred to the National Treasury. Coins that are out of circulation or have historical value will be sent to the Banco Central’s Money Museum, and foreign coins will be converted into Brazilian reais when possible.
