印度喀拉拉邦加尔各答一名警局志愿者去年8月强奸并杀害一名实习医生，他被法院判处终身监禁。综合《印度斯坦时报》和路透社报道，加尔各答法院星期一（1月20日）以强奸和谋杀两项罪名，判处加尔各答医院实习医生奸杀案嫌犯桑杰·罗伊（Sanjay Roy）终身监禁。罗伊去年8月在加尔各答RG Kar医院强奸并杀害一名实习医生，引起民愤。加尔各答医护人员举行多轮大型示威，要求当局把犯人绳之以法。
