🔺ایرانیان چهار طبقه ممتاز داشتند. یکی از این طبقات «داناکان» بود که در زبان پهلوی همان دانایان و فیلسوفان است. همچنین اِستارشماران یا اخترماران یا منجمین، پزشکان و زمین پتمانان که مهندسین بودند.

🔺طبقات مختلف دانشمندان با یکدیگر دادوستد علمی نیز داشتند. به ‎عنوان نمونه منجمان، پزشکان و فیلسوفان چنین تقابلی داشتند و حتی می‌گفتند فلسفه و پزشکی به هم مربوط‌اند.
