Last Update:
So, what about American and European rivals? Are they more advanced? The answer is a firm "no."
Right now, Tesla is the only global automaker that has pushed the limits of regulations while still staying within legal boundaries. It delivers the most advanced package in its price range, despite strict production and safety laws. Tesla's charging network is so successful that rival automakers now pay Tesla for access to its Superchargers.
Many competitors are still trapped by outdated industry norms—BMW and Audi struggle with EV adoption, while Mercedes-Benz focuses more on appearing advanced rather than truly innovating. Resistance to change has always led to setbacks, especially in times of industrial revolutions.
Of course, strong challengers exist, like Lucid and Rivian. However, due to limited funding and expensive products, they’ve been pushed out of mainstream competition. This is where Elon Musk’s wealth has fueled Tesla’s dominance.
