كَانَ يُقَالُ : ثَلَاثٌ مُنْجِيَاتٌ ، وَثَلَاثٌ مُهْلِكَاتٌ.
فَأمَّا المُنْجِيَاتُ : فَالخَشْيَةُ فِي السِّرِّ وَالعَلَانِيَةِ ، وَالعَدْلُ فِي الغَضَبِ وَالرِّضَا ، وَالقَصْدُ فِي الفَقْرِ وَالغِنَى .. وَأمَّا المُهْلِكَاتُ : فَشُحٌّ مُطَاعٌ ، وَهَوًى مُتَّبَعٌ ، وَإعْجَابُ المَرْءِ بِنَفْسِهِ.
